Promotions and medals suggestion

Personally I thought promotions were earned too easily in SoTA. Time shouldnt earn you ranks but reports and skills should. Like for example officers can note down actions of other units and have a little database. I hated how people would go away and not play then only show up for ceremonies and be rewarded for doing nothing. Add on your thoughts

I highly agree, one time someone was on 01, he has not played on him for probably a month, got on for ceremonies and got promoted, that I agree to

Im trying to add in a new system. A quota system.
When you get out of RCT, you are placed with a quota. So much time spent gaurding a hard point, so many detains need to be made, and a time limit needs to be reached.

EXAMPLE:
So, your an 05, and your quota is:
10 Detainments
2 hours of gaurding
2 weeks of 05
----------------------------
After completing a detain, you would write a report. Send it to SeC. The SeC will go over the reports and file it in your CCA's data.

Quota:
10 detainments - 6 to go
2 hours of gaurding - 1hour 32mins left
2 weeks of 05 - 1 week 4 days remain


Then you would get a promotion at ceremonies if you have completed your quota. And it gets harder and harder as you go along

I like the idea, but I believe making special detainments/acts of valor could speed it up. Like capturing an anti-citizen can knock off time/detainments/guard duty or whatever.

That would be for higher ranks. This is just an 05, newb ass 05. Cant go after AC's for shit

We should make a list of medals...and like...what to do to get them. and if anyone makes a joke saying "Lol add purple hearts so we can shoot our fut" ill keel u. and keel u. AND KEEL U!

For the reports we need a mailbox design so you put reports in and you can see them or destroy them once inside. Only the SeC can use his Phy gun to open it. And if you find some way to destroy papers you are PK'd

Are the ranks going to be reset? Not like the epu, dvls, cmds, but like the 05-01s?

Medal of action= being injured while protecting the city from a threat

Medal of honor= uh... Idfk

Union dove= highest medal you did something really good like capture Jared smeester or saved APEX

I agree with you Mahunik, but understand that some people cannot always be online. So for things like 05 through 03 should just be awarded over time, and the other ranks should be reqarded on prowess, ability, reporting, and medals.

Also, quick thing, we should have a Medal of Prowess for those who can take one a number of enemies and beat them single-handed.

Well diablo has mentioned that we might add in a 06 rank. 06 would surely add more progression and difficultly making it up the ranks.

I like the quota idea. because...remember barney? Hes like "Im way behind on my beating quota" Mabye he was trying to get promoted. Of course...it would fill up the datapad so no fancy ----- separation lines and chit.
