Character backstory (6 lines at least detailing you character's background. Events, job, family etc and should reflect your skills): Every since the 7 hour war Zul was a slave.He helped the combine will medical operations on the field as well as helping them with tech.He was sent to city 18 where he mostly cleaned up after the on going rebel attacks.During an attack Zuk got shot and was patched up by a Helix,after that he trusted that he was safe with the combine. After 3 years in city 18 he was shipped off the city 8. Having to start from the bottom again he gained many scars on his back for being slow paced. He finally gained the trust of the combine in city 8 and was allowed to roam around for messes to clean up. The resistance captured him and tortured, the combine finally caught the resistance and killed them releasing Zuk. Finally Zuk got transferred to City 45 where he is now, he can be found cleaning the blood of the resistance(Thought i would add some creeper)

Character backstory:
Tuk'Zal was a young 41(young by Vortigaunt standards)when the Combine invaded his homeworld and destroyed much of the Vortigaunts' defense force. Every Vortigaunt who could hastily fled their homeworld, heading to one of the few places they could reach that had yet to feel the Combine's heel; Xen. However, upon their arrival, the Vortigaunts came face to face with the Nihilanth's army of grunts, Gargantuas, and Controllers. With the Vortigaunts' armed forces destroyed by the Combine, they had little option but to surrender themselves. Tuk'Zal found himself in a place barely any better than where he and his kin had fled. The Nihilanth had Tuk'Zal and his species put into slavery, under which the Vortigaunts endured arduous labor and torture to a similar degree as those Vortigaunts who were unable to flee to Xen. Then, the first Black Mesa away teams came.

The Nihilanth mobilized his army, and conscripted many of the Vortigaunt slaves, including Tuk-Zal, into a lower-ranked division. They received no weapons, and were forced to utilize the offensive ability of what they call the Vortessence to fight off the HEV-wearing away teams. Despite the loss of several teams, Black Mesa finally acquired samples of Xen crystals to use in testing. Most of the tests were fairly low profile. Then one day, the Anti-Mass Spectrometer was used, with a Xen sample pushed into its beam by none other than the Freeman, and the resulting Resonance Cascade gave the Nihilanth an opportunity.

The Nihilanth mobilized his army, sending through alien grunts, Gargantuas, and Vortigaunts, with headcrabs and other Xen lifeforms blindly following them. The ensuing chaos brought the Nihilanth's army into direct engagement with human HECU forces, and a small war began to break out in Black Mesa. Despite attempts to seal the rift, the Nihilanth used his abilities to continue to hold it open and force his army through. Then the Freeman got in.

Tuk'Zal was within a section of a Vortigaunt labor complex from which the Controllers had retreated, falling back to protect their master. When Tuk'Zal and his brethren saw Freeman, they saw someone who was fighting off their oppressor. Curious but speechless, Tuk'Zal could only watch as Freeman moved along.

Eventually, the Nihilanth was beaten by the Freeman, but the Portal Storms raged on. One day Tuk'Zal found himself caught in one, and was brought to Earth on the eve of the 7 Hour War. He watched helplessly as humanity's forces met the same fate as his kin on the Vortigaunt homeworld. Finally, Tuk'Zal was caught by the earliest recruits of Civil Protection. They tied him down and beat him unconscious with their stunsticks.

Tuk'Zal was brought to City 18, a slave once more. Civil Protection beat him with the slightest excuse, and whatever fighting spirit he might have had has been shattered. He is now a broken creature, following the Combine's orders knowing that to do otherwise would lead to a terrible fate.

He will act as a defeated slave would, following orders and taking beatings without too much struggle(but with painRP, obviously). It is very unlikely that he will attempt any meaningful form of resistance.

Nar'Dul was one of the many slaves of the Nihilanth for a long time. He worked on the very shackles that binded him. That was, until the resonance cascade. Nar'Dul ended up being one of the first to go leave Xen. Almost immediately, he was captured by a group of HECU Soldiers. They treated him horribly. He was eventually found by some friendly Vortigaunts who helped him as much as they could.

He was able to find a way back to Xen just in time to see Gordon Freeman leaving the Nihilanth's chamber. He was very thankful for what Freeman had done. After a few years. The portals started appearing again. Eventually, he was teleported to Earth. He was horrified to see that the Combine had taken over the planet. He had always remembered how the Combine had invaded his world. After being taken in by some friendly rebels, he was captured by Civil Protection and is now cleaning up other peoples messes.

Just lacking substance. No dialogue showing you know vortanese/vortan-esense (aka vort speak). Also you didn't show an examples of your biotic actually doing something until the end. Mostly you were watching things happen. Also you only have 18 lines of RP. (just because a /me carries over to a second line does not make it another line of RP)

Character Backstory:
I'd recommend re-doing because of the impossibilities.
1. HECU units didn't take captives. They were gunning down other unarmed humans, what would make you think they would keep aliens that could kill them without any weapons.
2. Its to much of a chance for your character to have actually had any interaction or sight of freeman, let alone travel to earth. And even he did, he probubly would have been one that was gunned down by him.

Many days ago, my family came through Xen. My brothers and I saw a threat approaching and so we did what we could to ensure the safety of others. It was our duty to protect those that would not protect themselves. We thought our only problem would be the existence of the foul biotic creatures that existed in our world and came over with us. But, we were very wrong. We began our assault on the west and headed east, killing dozens, sometimes hundreds, of what the human race has known to call "Head Crabs". The biotics seemed like less and less of a threat, but then the combine came. The ones that were not killed became Nihilanth, as was I my brothers. Now, I work for them, in this gruesome place. They screams on may are heard throughout the day. I pray for you and my people. All of those lost, for one day I will escape from here.

Specific skills and specialist, such as medical knowledge, knowledge of technology, philosophy etc?: Kal'Neuh was an expert in fields of science and medical research. As were many of his brothers. They practiced the art of Vortessence many days. The human technology seems like common knowledge to him, but the combine is still very much strange.


Did you ever have a problem with your established government in Xen?: With many of his brothers being killed he only works for the combine to save his own life. He has a lack of hope for rescue so he works and keeping the place clean for the combine.

What do you plan to do with your biotic character in the future?: Depending on the outcome, if he some how breaks free he may go into hiding and try to find away to contact his brothers. If he does not he will most likely stay in the nexus doing to combines bidding. So far, he does not have plans for a resistance for he does not have much knowledge of it. He knows the humans are likely to act in this way but he has no proof that they are besides a couple of humans retaliating in small manners. So really depending on how his associates, per say, act around him will determine his outcome.

I was an Infant when my parents died, I never knew my parents, only my
brother...

He took good care of me until, he joined the rebels, his last words were "Keep Safe, My Brother, May my eyes and our parents be with you..."

After 5 months of living on my own, I receive a letter, It tells me that my brother died, fighting the combine...

I took a job after that as a clerk, i was some how a great clerk, with Barter and money, i became quite rich.

After 2 years of great life i was happy for the first time, until the combine came to take over our happy city, it was a rebel city but, it got destroyed...

I was Captured as a hostage, they killed everyone. Including my best friend Zag'Brocl, I was then sent to city after city to be a slave for the rest of my life.

Ga'Zeek was hit by a metal crowbar right in the back. Luckily Ga'Zeek was outside and wasn't hurt from the explosion (Black Mesa was blown up) then the Combine showed up and took Ga'Zeek.

I am Che'Lakr, I am assigned to cleaning dirt off of the pavement outside the nexus.

/me sighs heavily, a mop and a metal bucket of water hangs from both his right and left hands, weakly gripping both of the items.
/it CCA-C18-CORE-03.73356 pushes Che'Lakr out the door of the nexus, laughing as he shoves Che'Lakr out the door.
/me falls to the ground, dropping both his mop and pale of water.
/it The water from the bucket spills, landing onto the concrete pavement, forming a small puddle around the bucket whilst it is on the ground.

/me grabs the mop, putting it into the bucket of water before scrubbing the pavement with his mop, attempting to get the dirt out from the concrete.



Character backstory :
Days ago, I transferred to the borderworld known as "Xen" to escape my kin's enemy; the Combine. When me and my kin transferred there, we encountered a cruel, yet intelligent creature only known as the Nihilanth.
Me and my kin were weak, our numbers grew few and we could do nothing but surrender to the Nihilanth. For many days, my kin had suffered. We could do nothing but do as we were told by the Nihilanth.

One day, an opening into another world had opened. "Humans" as they called themselves, examined our world. They had been wearing bright-orange HEV suits whilst they were within our world. We could not distinguish whether or not they were apart of the Combine, but that soon did not matter. The Nihilanth had orders us along side other enslaved biotics to eliminate these invaders, we had savagely killed these "away teams" as these groups of humans had called themselves.

Soon, these "away teams" had gathered Xen crystals which were scattered around the borderworld, which had led to a series of events me and my fellow kin call the Resonance Cascade. The Nihilanth saw this as an opportunity. The Nihilanth ordered many of my kin into openings scattered around Xen due to the Resonance Cascade.

I have watched the Freeman defeat the Nihilanth. Many of my kin consider him as the savior of all of us, and I agree with them. He had freed my brothers from the shackles the Nihilanth had forced upon us, and I thank him for that. I had soon escaped from Xen and had been teleported into the outlands, which is where I had stayed for many days.

I had lived near humans for many days, I had studied them along with their language. I had soon had learned the basics of English, yet not long after I had watched humans encounter the same fate that my kin had suffered from; enslavement from the Combine.

Soon after the 7 hour war, Che'Lakr had been captured by Civil Protection units and he himself had once again become enslaved. He was transferred into the City45, but soon after he had been re-transferred into City18.

He is enslaved at the moment, so all he shall do for the time being is obey the Combine's orders. If he ICly associates himself with the resistance, he will most likely choose to become emancipated. If these events do not occur in the future, he's still fine with being an enslaved vortigaunt.

Character backstory (6 lines at least detailing you character's background. Events, job, family etc and should reflect your skills): Rak'Tull was born on the Vortigaunt homeworld before the combine invasion. When he was 27 years old the Combine attacked. Him and many others Vortigaunts fled to the alien planet of Xen. When Rak'Tull and the others arrived they met Nihilanth. Since most of the Vortigaunt military was destroyed during the Combine invasion they surrendered to Nihilanth. When the Black Mesa incident happened many Vortigaunts were teleported to Earth during the Portal Storms. Rak'Tull was one of them but instead of attacking humans he fled and hid. He saw this as a chance to begin a new life. He hid in the country side since most of the humans had fled to cities. He survived and lived a decent life until the Combine invaded Earth in the Seven Hour War. He was eventually found by the Combine. They sent him to C18 where he now does his best to obey them.

Born and raised on Xen as an infant by his kin until the age of about 24 years, Hak'Navel lived most of his life in the deep places of Xen studying and learning from his kin, the art of healing.

Using different forms of Xen technology, Hak'Navel served as an honorable healer and his brothers and sisters knew where to go when they needed help. Hak'Navel was never really the fighting type and mostly stuck to healing though he knows how to defend himself as he used to train with who you could basically call his sworn brother Nav'Tulon.

When Hak'Navel Reached the age of 24, he was taken from Xen to Earth by the combine. His brother and most of his local kin that he held most dear to him had been slaughtered, but the combine saw Hak'Navel as no threat as his fighting abilities are very limited. His kin hid him in a deep place within their stronghold and defended to their last breath. Hak'Navel tried to save his sworn brother Nav'Tulon but before he had the chance to, the combine snatched him away. To think that if he would of had more time, he could have saved his sworn brother. The combine knew that he was of great value, otherwise his kin would not of defended him with such gratitude.

Hak'Navel was transferred to City 18 shortly after the 7 hour war, he has been here for over 3 months, working under the combine's will. He wants nothing more then to return to his kin on Xen, but sadly the most he can do is meet them on earth.

/me starts scrubbing faster on the spots he notices he missed, and finishes by rinsing it with a water sprayer brought for cleaning.

/me makes several rude gestures at the unit as he turned away and returns to searching for spots of dirt or stains.

/me returns to the nexus, asking another officer for passage, he grants him passage through.

My name is Zalk'Tawny, I reside in the currently Civil protection controlled region of City 18, I'm 42 years old by Human standards, I would be 22 years old by my kin's standards. I used to have a home on the planet Xen, with my family, my mother and father, my brother, and the others in the small area I called home, a small group cave inside a cluster of rock, me and my family stayed there, eating the exotic plant life that regrew every week, and drinking from the sacred pools of water. When the 'Combine' invaded, we had no choice but to be enslaved, and eventually they invaded Earth, and this is where I am now.
I hope to one day see my brother, he is in another city, but I hope he moves to this city as a servant alongside me, as we were in childhood, we still hold a vague memory of joy, and happiness, mostly of the games we played. I grew up with a strange condition my mother always phrased as 'A special abillity that your heart possesses only' and as I grew, I recognized it as love, and happiness, but it is slowly being stamped out by the rulers. I hope to be freed of this eternal torment, the chains are unbearable, and I think my chance may come, I will wait.

While still celebrating his family traditions, he felt as though something was missing and concluded that Xen held nothing for him, and that the combine would come sooner or later. However, when the Nihilanth was defeated, the Xenian goverment, the dimensional rip the Nihilanth was keeping together was torn apart, portal storms occured on earth. This allowed for Kai'Zule, along with his kind and other Xenian life, to make an escape using them. Not long after, the combine saw a weakened earth and used the portal storms to invade earth and within 7 hours, Kai'Zule saw the place where he could hide from the combine become overrun within a matter of hours. Being put into a city, he was entitled "Biotic" and resumed the slave life he worked his life to escape from.

What do you plan to do with your biotic character in the future?: I Was wanting to use this character for the Map change event and hope to evolve more beyond civilians. I really want to however, want to make philosophies on the combine and their purpose, learning from any body possible.

Character Backstory: When Cahl was young The combine invaded his home planet and fled to Xen (The border world). It was There were he was enslaved by the Nihilanth, and did his every bidding. Like most Vortigaunts when portals started appearing in Xen he was sent through them to "investigate" with his peers and a few grunts he went in to Black Mesa, He only saw two humans Carrying a man in a strange suit down a hall. Soon after he noticed that other Xenian Beings wen through the portals, Bull squids, headcrabs, even barnacles. He managed to escape Black mesa before it was nuked. He heard from a Grunt that the Nihilanth was dispatched. Immediately after combine appeared and enslaved all the Vortigaunts, the grunts were killed. He was sent to C18 after being used as a battery for 7 years. He hopes to make a new life there.

You said Freeman dispatched you, but then you say the Nihilanth was dispatched as well, and we all know he died. So that doesn't make sense. Also, vortigaunts are not allowed to use any kind of flux power or vortessence while enslaved. The metal bands around their bodies disallow this.
