While the server is down, here are some questions

Because the server population has been decreasing lately, and a lot of people believe it is because stories are under developed, I am becoming curious to see how we can change this.

My question for everyone is:
What rule(s) should be added, or redacted?

This can mean anything, from Combine brainwashing, to ranks, to how many people can be in Slums, you name it.

What do you want to change or add or remove within our server?
Post comments and we will discuss. Throw stuff out there, please. Anything will do. Your craziest ideas are often the best ones.

[No arguing, this is purely for ideas, yet most of these ideas will probably come true]

City 18, We had a little discussion about it, but, I think, we should go back to that map, because, It was the birthplace of many of our forum members, I know c45 is BIGGER, and more detailed, but C18 and other users, Get along, I got used to that map when i was my 06-05, But you guys decided to blow it up with a giant event.


And also, I think Ceremonies should come back up, But not every 1 month, But 2 months. 2 Months sound a lot better to me, Because it gets our character developed, Like its been 3-4 months since I was promo'd, And you can see I'm not babying about it, like "I WANT A 03 NOW waaaa waaa I het diz servr" I don't complain. And please don't come down hard on me, I'm just saying my thoughts to Diablo.

Hm.... I'm just thinking map change in general. We've been on City Forty-Five for a while, and I'm getting quite bored. City Eighteen would work, but anything in terms of map change I'd be happy with.

We could even do a little event about everyone getting moved. What do you think?

I still feel like we just moved to 45. Recently.

I don't know why you all want to go back to c18 now...

I don't think we should go to the ORIGINAL C18, I think we should go to C18v2, as Mahunik has stated before.

As I said, I could go for ANY map change. C18, C23, C8, C17, whatever. I just feel I'm getting somewhat bored of City Forty-Five. With that said, City Forty-Five is a great map, I'm not trying to put the map itself down. I'm just getting bored of it. It might be that it was the first map I Seriously RP'd on, and I've just been playing on it so long, but it just got boring to me, I like all the additions that have been coming (IE Ceta, library, etc.), that keep the map fresh, but you rarely ever go to those, and either way, it's basically the same Nexus, same slums, same rebel base, same everything except those few additions.

I feel we should decrease the OOC timer. 30 seconds is very long. When the server is on a low and only like 4 people are on, I'm usually the only one online who's not on the staff and it annoys me that I can barely participate in the OOC conversations.

OOC timers are pretty good to keep the spam in OOC chat down though and shouldn't be fully removed. Maybe we could disable the OOC timer when the server population is less than 6 players. I don't think this would be that hard to code.

- CCA brainwashing is too fine... Sort of...
- Map switch could be good.

Honestly the OOC timer is far too long, if you ask a question or you say something and you need to correct yourself you cant do that for like 30 seconds. It should be much shorter.

The brainwashing is fine for CCA, the way it works with the ranks and stuff. But I have heard stuff like your memory is COMPLETELY erased after joining CCA even when your an 06 you remember nothing of your past. That would take away sooooo much possible RP as a CCA. It would be better if CCA had their memories until they were an OTA or something but they just learned to no longer care.

And to be honest C45 is getting sort of boring, I have been looking at C18 (And I am making a sexy save thing with the help of Holler. No peeks 'till it is done.) and it is a really good map. We should really change to it, not right now but at sometime. (Like when I finish the save thing because it would be good to use.)

Just so you know, possum, your save will not transfer to the server unless you dupe er'thang.
