Switch to City8 for the remander of garrysmod 12
Map switch to City 8
We are only weeks away from the release of garrysmod 13. Openaura will break but a new developer "Clockwork" will be remaking Hl2rp for gmod13. Back in SoTA we played City 8 which was a Japanese styled City, we played it for about 2-3 weeks until we switched back to C18. Personally for me and a few other SA's we have grown tired of City 18. For maybe the last week or so I and a few others would like to switch back. City8 features a a extremely detailed and realistic nexus along with a great above/below ground slums. the rations terminal has a button that announces ration cycles and the streets feature a large apartment complex and citizen lounge. If we find this map to be popular then maybe we can use it for gmod13 sometime. Not only does City8 feature alot of details and factors that will add to your RP it will also give you more time to develop your character in a place maybe you character has already been in a while back, or is completely new to this city. This is where you all come in, simply vote yes or no if you would like to try out this map once more or no if you would like to stay with the same map. Why limit our characters to one map when we can expand and develop them more?

Map details:City 8 Central District - Basic Outline
Based in the most central areas of the city, within the Citadel walls.
Contains apartments, shops, food stalls, alleyways, slums, offices, sewers, subways, tunnels and of course the Nexus and Citadel.
Architecture inspired by Japanese and Combine styles, mixed together.
3 main Combine Civil Housing complexes, A / B / C, with multiple rooms and access.
Large ration distribution depot, with sit-in facilities.
Civil Workers Union central office block for management workers.
The location of Amaria Corporation central headquarters, which also harbours several offices and laboratories.
Animated Neon Signs
A vast network of tunnels and disused subway stations run underneath the city, often used by the resistance.
The Metro-Link access network allows Combine APCs vast access to any area of the city in a short timeframe. This network runs throughout the city to each district.
Combine Civil Protection central APC bay allows distribution of vehicles towards the different tunnels.
Nexus Central Command Interface allows direct control of the Dispatch system, from the core access point.
Access to the Administrators office from below (same as the district 9 version).
NPC Noded
Optimised fully, with all windows breakable and multiple access points to each building (I hate knowing theres only one way in and out of any situation!)
Custom Graffiti, Dispatch sounds and models/textures across the whole district.
Judgement Waiver console allows the Citadel to be put into a state of alert.
Epic 3D Skybox - Puts you right in the middle of the City.
Combine doors / security checkpoints locked closed for Tacoscript coding. They will NOT open in singleplayer.

If the server switches to the map the first hour or so we will be setting doors, props and nexus/slums props.

I wouldn't mind GMod 13 so much if it didn't break OpenAura. That alone makes me hate it.

Well here is whats going down. With the new Gmod13 coming out, Clock Work will be released hopefully on that very same day. If it is, I am going to have to re-code EVERYTHING. So don't expect it up that very day, its on a Thursday I believe. I have school.
But for now, I am working on the code for the Beta Weapons and Melee weapons as well as clothing options. So when Clock Work comes out, hopefully it wont be to big of a change, so I will have the code ready and set.
