S2M Improvement Idea
In HL2RP, generally when shooting at other players from a long range, we use S2M (Shoot to Miss) but recently I have noticed people just standing in the middle of gunfire and expecting not to get shot. So, what my idea was, I was thinking we could add a rule to S2M where if somebody is just standing there, you are allowed to shoot them in the legs or arms and stuff to make it more realistic. And this being shot, would be IC, you would have to pain RP this and not just stand there even more and keep shooting.
[Edit] Note: If somebody is typing a /me, you don't have the right to blow their brains out while they are just standing there. But it is recommended that you jump to cover and THEN type your /me. [Edit]

Yeah i it looks really stupid and i feel like shooting the idiot who is standing in the open whenever see that happening. Like oh my god just...just...GET THE FUCK IN COVER AND FEAR RP N SHIT RARGH. We totally need this idea.

The biggest thing ive had problems with is bitchy rebels complaining i accidently shot them with the spread from MP7 or shotgun, when they're just being dunbasses standing there

I've always seen the CCA just standing in the middle of our fire. Like whenever we are on the rooftops they just stand there as we shoot at them. I'm +Supporting btw.

We attack from both sides in the canals so you guys have to retreat back into the tunnels, but usually you guys just stand where one side can hit you and the other can't instead of doing the smart thing and retreating.

In defense to my fellow units. None of the higher commands even moved back TOWARDS the tunnels, and actually back then you were suppressing us and had us PINNED down. If you wanted us to gtfo you would've kept shooting at us before we left the tunnels.

Honestly, I'd be fine with S2k if someone is in the open for TOO long; I remember once a while back, Wesley and rose were in a shootout with Bravos CCA char, and he just stood in the wide open and didn't take any cover. You should have to take cover, and if you go rambo, you get S2killed.

The beginning of operation downfall is a great example of the cca standing out in the open, ESPECIALLY the High command (unitbravo) anyways, I'm starting neutral.

New rule, if someone is standing out in the open during a firefight and they are not /me'ing in anyway, you are aloud to shoot them. You are not aloud to kill them. If they are behind cover, you must S2M unless you /me and win a roll other wise.
