Possible TC Loady Screen Thingy

Well, y'know how you connect to other servers and they supply you with a song and a custom picture with the HL2RP rules? Well I don't have the song, but I made a picture that would be fabulous. But I want the communities opinion before shit happens. I already talked to DIABLO about it and showed it to him, and as far as I see there was no denial, but he hasn't really responded yet.

Tried putting the picture on the forum but it wouldn't fit and I couldn't make it fit...

I like it but you should make it a 16:9 aspect ratio :/ it will fuck up if you don't, it cut's off. The average person has a 16:9 aspect ratio monitor or TV. If you have the photoshop file just switch the image canvas size, re-position the text and then Upload it again.

Oh! and it is also approved by General Bravo and Diablo.

For music, it tends to be annoying in loading screens, but if it's just an ambient sort of elevator music type track it should be fine. Here's one.

I was considering setting up a loading screen for The Terminal, but I never quite got to it. This is very good, Possum!

I could definitely make one for you if you were to tell me what you wanted. I only made this for TC because I made a photo for no reason when I got bored and decided to slap text onto it. Bam, now its a loading screen.

Originally SOTA's website had music on its homepage. I never put music on TC's homepage and no one seemed to mind, nor did anyone suggest we add music.

I think leaving the music up to what ever the player has going on their desktop is a good idea.

Gotta agree with Diablo. If I want to listen to Tool and some random Logic song starts playing, wtf mode activates since you can't stop it.

But I think the community has agreed upon putting the pic there.

The loading screen is up, how ever since it is only an Image on Imgur it only displays the resolution of the image. For me there is a lot of black empty space on the screen with a nice picture explaining the rules. For people with a smaller monitor than 1920 x 1080, the image will be the same size, but the amount of black empty space around the image will decrease.

The only way to fix this would be to make the image the background of an HTML page, so the image would fit any resolution. But it costs a very small fee to run a HTML website. Forumotion is a free site that allows you to create a forum with limited customization, so I cannot do this with our forum.

Yeah, I get a sufficient amount of black on my screen even on a 720p TV, what I think Dark, if you can, should try to do, is up convert the resolution to something higher or 1080p if you can, but I kinda think leaving it at this resolution is fine at the same time cause you can read all the text without the loading meter in your way.

Well if the picture is larger than your monitor, you will only see what your monitor can show.

I just don't like music because when ever I'm listening to my music or talking to friends on skype and then I try to join a server it just blasts in my ear and there is no way to turn it off.

Updated it, added some touch ups and made the resolution 1366x768. It shouldn't be super small with a black outline. I will make it bigger if needed, but it should be fine now on most computers.

If you guys find a new picture, I can add text and change the dimensions like I did for the current one. It would be nice to change it up every once in a while so it doesn't get old.
