To answer this seriously, it seems as though this server is turning into a DarkRP server w/ serious elements.

The only thing I am seeing is people pissed off at this new radio thing so they are making these threads because they are too scared or just being smart asses about it, if you don't want it, then request it is removed. I for one thing it's extremely un-cannon and realistic and would prefer if it were removed from the server as soon as possible since it's also causing people to hate on it. It's a cool speculation on a potential element but not for serious rp in the hl2 universe. So instead of being all sarcastic about things on this thread, lets turn it into a thread about peoples opinions on the Radio TC idea and whether it should remain. As for my opinion, I think it is a cool idea but it is not for half life 2 rp, I feel it is as if it is breathing a dark rp element into the server and as a result it will break away from the hl2rp immersion, so I am going to have to - support it. another thing is, why was it just added without consulting the community? Perhaps if this was a different type of rp server such as fallout rp and we had like fallout radio songs that would feel immersive and in that universe but honestly, the combine aren't about to let the citizens get drunk and listen to their favorite songs or what is the point in enslaving them? I thing it's safe to say that the whole point of there being a restricted area in the level is so that you can find stuff you won't otherwise find, stuff that wouldn't be allowed, so yeah you'd find a bar in the slums because beer is illegal. But finding beer in the plaza? What is the point of contraband and shit if you are selling it in a place with the rule that if it's seen outside of that place it is wrong and will be met by verdict. That is just handing it out to them so they can take it to places they shouldn't. I donno in all honesty I think it is not a really good idea.

Not to mention the download is mandatory. I would have been fine with "you want to hear it, download it". But right now, you need to have the files to play.

Randoms wont join if they need to slowly download 250 mb of songs. 90% leaves and isn't going to bother looking up the website for a faster dl.

Also, I wanted to join on my laptop yesterday, but I couldn't, because it takes a year to download the songs with my shitty hotel internet.

I don't know why it exists because I wasn't there, but to be honest it sounds kind of dumb. Not sure why it was ever implemented.
