Gotta go with Daft Punk on this one. Im a fan of most music, other than super Skrillex Dubstep, country, and screamo. But Daft Punk takes the cake with the guitar rift in Human After All.

I listen to a lot of hard core and depressing music. E.g. Land of Confusion - Disturbed. Hurt - Johnny Cash. And a bunch of Marilyn Manson shit.

Good words. Hearable words. That mean stuff.

But in a good song I also want good instrumentals. Strong guitar. Drum beats you can pick up and tap out with your fingers.
When a band is able to blend words and sound.

Just to let you know... The first one was not dub step. That was house or trance. And just a step up from techno. Just... Too slow to be dub step, that makes it trance.

Anyway, I've been learning way too much so I've been listening to deadmau5 all day. Strobe is a freaking masterpiece. The drop at 6:40.. Daaaamn.



And, one of my own songs of course . It's more background music really. Gonna use it as my outro song.

My deude it is dubstep, it is classified as chillstep or melodic dubstep, it is 140bpm just like most dubstep alike. Here is another one much like it.

EDIT: The reason it sounds slow is because the drum beat is mostly half of 140bpm (or 70bpm)
